One moment we felt like we were in Chennai, the other moment we felt like we were in the middle of Rameshwaram temple. A brilliant backdrop of Rameshwaram temple in the grand space of Leela palace made us feel like being in two different places at the same time. The groom Shravan was from a traditional family rooted in South India and the bride Ruchi was from North India with all her family flown down for their big day. Clearly, there was so much love in the air that crossed past all the boundaries and differences. It was a pretty sight to see the bride being introduced with a smile by the groom’s side to all their family members every time. Lots of friends had come from far places and it was quite an act of fun they put up together constantly, especially that moment when they played western music out-of-the-blue in the middle of the proceedings and started dancing. Crazy you see!
The couple was too good when it came to cooperating with us for pictures, as they appreciated the importance of time to be given for their memories to be captured forever. Family pictures were even more fun, as the whole family of 60+ members got together from nowhere when we said, ‘Lets take a family photo’, truly a spirit of celebration. The wedding was fun, emotional, candid, divine and dancing! In short, it was a mix of two lives getting together in a culture called love, now and forever.
