Boy, oh boy. We had every reason to be excited about Prahalya & Harinda’s wedding. They had called us way early, like a year before their wedding date and booked us. It was a SriLankan wedding on the cards. We have done many Sri Lankan weddings over the years, but the yearning has always been afresh to do more in the serene place. The bride Prahalya was a Sri Lankan Tamil, and the groom Harinda was Sinhalese. So we had two weddings in two days. Yes, it was as delightful as it sounds with a colorful Tamil wedding on the first day followed by the traditional ‘Poruwa’ Sinhalese wedding ceremony the next day. The beautiful décor, the rituals, the gestures, the people were all real interesting to witness. It was the first time that we shot a Poruwa ceremony, and we enjoyed every part of it. Just as the rituals got over, they had the cocktail session coming in and we must say it was the longest session of the wedding gala and the fun went till late. Take a look at the pictures and find out for yourself.
