10 days, 12 events, 2 hearts, ONE love – celebrated with crazy, crazy, and crazy grandeur! We wouldn’t call it a wedding but a real, nice, magnificent festival that saw friends and family come together to rejoice the feeling called love, pompously. It seems hard to find a point to start telling the story of their wedding celebration, for there are so many amazing memories etched in our minds and we can only indulge more and stay lost in the transition.
Being neighbors has its own merits, and little did Koushik & Mounika knew that they would end up as soul mates sooner. As the next-door-sweet hearts, they were a charming couple who knew each other well. You can tell it by just looking at them, that these two will dazzle, like now and forever. Gladly they were empathetic to the challenges we faced as photographers, and gave enough time and space for us to work around every shot. They were at their natural self, unperturbed by the happenings around. In fact every one was so too, making sure they had full fun and also the embraced the ones around. There was this moment in the reception when they popped open a champagne to celebrate, having their family members to cheer the eve with a sip. Amar, was one amongst the ones who was pulled on to the stage to take a sip. That’s how much they treated us like family.
Beauty lies in the details and they took it altogether to a new level with the amount of planning they invested in the décor. The preparation for the events began well in advance like 6-7 months ago, with the entire family putting their heart and soul into the concept design. The wedding stage alone was said to have taken a full month to take shape. With such meticulous efforts, the results are bound to be surreal. It was an out of the world experience that adorned all the events. Usually in such big scale décor, either the lights or the décor will outrun the other. But this time, it was just perfect – a lot like love, a lot like Koushik & Mounika.
NON-STOP is the word, seeing the way they kept celebrating every day and night equally. Like the gala would start by 4 PM, go on very well till 6 AM the next day and yet the folks would turn up fresh by 10 AM – all set to start all over again. All the grandness eventually led to that moment of the final day when the bride took Vidai. It was an emotional moment when every family member shared the humane connection, looked up to each other and blessed the newly wed couple. In a way, the intense feelings every one shared then, proved to be the richest of all and the grandest moment of the entire wedding celebration.
We have done so many big weddings, but this one just beat them all hands down, with the style they orchestrated, the panache they planned to perfection, and most importantly, the way they took care of each other and lived the true spirit of celebration. What can we say? It just was a royal carnival of love, truly.
